I’ve been dreaming of this day for years. Literally.
Back in 2007 I was living in a semi-fancy apartment in a not-so-fancy Denver suburb when I told my roommate Trent that my ideal scenario would be living on a beach somewhere with low cost of living & a good enough WiFi connection. At that time I was working as an assistant manager at Banana Republic & doing freelance web development on the side. Retirement seemed like a lifetime away & money seemed to be more elusive than ever. I wanted to run away.
But I didn’t.
Well, not right away at least.
I made some adjustments to my career path (more on the work I currently do later) & a handful of years later, here I am – a one way flight to Costa Rica in hand, a backpack with the basics, and of course, my laptop. As it stands as of this writing, my plan is to be adventuring and working in Costa Rica as well as Panama until April of 2016 at which time I will be heading to Puerto Rico to attend a wedding. From there the plan is open… back to Costa Rica? back to Denver? Off to a new adventure? We shall see…
As the trip unfolds I will update my site with recaps, gear features, ramblings, and so forth.
